AI call cost calculator

See what it costs to give more callers an answer, a booking or a next step. Estimate the monthly voice cost of Adya by Amomic-AI, an AI agent that answers and makes phone calls, compare staffing assumptions and explore the value of recovered enquiries.

Adya rates as of 16 October 2026: ₹6 ($0.07) per minute with telephony included; plans as listed on the pricing page. Salary and overhead are inputs, not claims.

The short answer: AI calls on Adya cost ₹6 a minute, telephony included, on top of a plan fee. At 2.5 minutes a call, 300 calls a month come to ₹7,898 on Starter with a number, and 1,000 calls to ₹18,398, both before GST. The calculator below works out your own figure; the guide under it shows the formula, worked examples, what is and is not included, and how the total compares with a salary.

Staffing covers monthly talk time, not a 24/7 roster or peak concurrency. Adya can cover after-hours calls within this usage estimate. Number availability varies by country; confirm your setup before subscribing. Taxes and other channel usage are additional.

What is a recovered booking worth to you?

An answered enquiry can be worth more than the minutes it takes. Enter the contribution from one additional booking, after the cost of delivering it, to explore your own break-even scenario.

How the AI call cost is calculated

The bill for AI calling has three parts: a monthly plan fee, a phone number, and the minutes your calls actually use. As a formula:

Monthly cost = plan fee + number rental (if the plan has no number) + (talk minutes − the plan's included minutes) × ₹6

Talk minutes come from three inputs. Calls a month is how many calls you expect. Calls entering a conversation (inbound) or expected pickup rate (outbound) is the share of those calls that connect; the estimate bills connected talk time only. Minutes per call is the average length of a connected call. Connected calls × minutes per call = talk minutes.

The ₹6 rate includes telephony, so there is no separate carrier bill for the calls Adya makes or answers. The estimate rounds the month's total talk time up to whole minutes; use the billable duration on your invoice when you check a real bill.

The staffing side divides the same talk minutes by what one person can handle in a month: 22 working days, an 8-hour shift, and the share of it spent on calls. It rounds up to whole full-time seats, each costed at salary plus the overhead you set. Part-time staff, shared roles and shift cover will change your real figure.

Extra numbers cost ₹399 a month on any paid plan. Outbound call campaigns, where Adya calls every person on a list, are a Growth feature, which is why the calculator switches to Growth when you pick the outbound scenario.

Worked examples: 300 and 1,000 calls a month

Both examples assume inbound calls averaging 2.5 minutes, every call answered, and Adya's list prices. Change any of those in the calculator to see your own figure.

Inbound calls at 2.5 minutes each. The Starter rows add a ₹399 number; Growth includes 500 minutes and a number. GST at 18%.

Three things stand out. First, the cost per call falls as volume rises, because the fixed plan fee is spread across more calls: ₹26.33 a call at 300 calls, ₹18.40 at 1,000. Second, minutes are most of the bill at volume; at 1,000 calls, ₹15,000 of the ₹18,398 is talk time. Third, for inbound voice alone, Starter with a number is the cheaper plan at every volume, by ₹1,601 a month once you pass 500 minutes. Growth earns its fee when you also need outbound campaigns or more than 1,000 chat, WhatsApp and email conversations a month.

An outbound example for comparison: a Growth campaign of 1,000 calls a month, where 700 are answered and each runs 2 minutes, uses 1,400 minutes. That is ₹7,999 + 900 × ₹6 = ₹13,399 before GST. Outbound calling in India also comes with registration and consent rules; read what TRAI's rules mean for AI outbound calls before you plan a list.

What the estimate includes, and what it leaves out

Included: the plan fee; the phone number, either inside the plan or at ₹399 a month; and every connected minute beyond the plan's allowance at ₹6, with telephony included.

Not included:

  • GST at 18% on Indian invoices, or applicable taxes on US-dollar invoices.
  • Extra phone numbers beyond the first, at ₹399 a month each.
  • WhatsApp messaging fees, which Meta bills to your WhatsApp Business account. The WhatsApp API cost calculator estimates those.
  • Chat, WhatsApp and email conversations beyond your plan's allowance, at ₹2 each.
  • Charges from your existing phone provider if you divert your current number to Adya; check your own tariff for call forwarding.

How the cost compares with a salary

We have not found a dated, published average for telecaller pay in India that we would cite, so the comparison here uses the nearest one we could source. Indeed India's receptionist average, updated 10 May 2026 from 649 reported salaries, is ₹14,565 a month. With the employer's EPF, EDLI and ESI contributions, that becomes about ₹16,932 a month; the derivation is in our AI receptionist cost guide.

Set against that benchmark, the 2.5-minute examples above come out at ₹7,898 for 300 calls and ₹18,398 for 1,000 calls, before GST. At 1,000 calls the two are close, so the case rests less on cost and more on cover: one person works one shift, takes leave and handles one call at a time, while Adya can answer after hours and hand a caller to your team when a person is needed. They are not the same job either; a receptionist also looks after the people in front of them. The calculator's default salary of ₹25,000 is an editable assumption, not a market figure. Put in your own team's pay and overhead for the comparison that matters to you.
